What We do
God’s calling for our team
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship’ to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
The purpose of the Fellowship and Hospitality Team is to develop and nurture a “New Testament” kind of love and unity for all people -members (fellowship) and visitors (hospitality).
We develop and coordinate events which promote the fellowship of members such as Church picnic and Sunday social time in the chapel before church each Sunday.
We promote the hospitality of visitors with our church gift bags.
We supply kitchen items and paper supplies for church teams to use for their events.
What We’ve Done
God’s successes through our team
Our team has hosted or organized meals for celebrations in our congregation ex. church picnic to celebrate rally day
We also provide community events: Good Friday breakfast, refreshments or meals for members, district personal or community events when needed.
We provide a visitor gift to welcome our visitors every Sunday.
We will be supplying standard paper goods for church sponsored events. Contact Mary Lou Ruth if you need supplies for a church activity. Any additional supplies needed will be provided by the team sponsoring the event and the F&H team asks each team to take extra items with you.

How You Can Help
Consider partnering with us
We are constantly striving to improve our welcoming spirit at Hempfield COB. There are a number of ways you can help us to improve. We outlined them briefly below:
Developing a Welcoming Spirit
If you are part of the Hempfield COB, please reach out to visitors at Hempfield COB. A smile, handshake or an introductions makes a visitor feel welcomed and feel like they matter to the congregation at Hempfield COB.
Considering Donating Treats for Sunday
If you are part of the Hempfield COB and enjoy baking please notify Mary Lou Ruth, if you would like to donate treats for our Sunday morning gathering in the chapel.
If you are part of the Hempfield COB,more than anything we need your prayers. No matter how clever or cutting-edge a ministry is, it cannot thrive on its own. We believe that Jesus meant what He said when He told his followers, “Without me you can do nothing.” ( John 15:5). Please pray for the Fellowship and Hospitality team and the fruitfulness of this ministry. We hope to facilitate a welcoming atmosphere at Hempfield COB. We cannot do that without God’s blessing, and we ask you to join us in praying that He would use all of our efforts for His glory. If you do decide to join us in prayer, won’t you let us know – it would mean a great deal to our team.
We thank you, and may God bless you!
